And the BLS is talking about unemployed people, not the folks who want to leave their jobs because their boss is an asshole, or because they're underemployed, or underpaid, or because their growth is blocked, or because they dread going to work everyday...If you found this site, you can probably identify or add your own reason.
And dismal as all that might sound, there's also hope. You will find another job; the youngest group of babyboomers (those born between 1957 and 1964) held 10.5 jobs, on average, between ages 18 and 40. If they all got that many new jobs, so can you.
